William T. Wilson III first established the W.
T. Wilson company in 1957. With his dedication to high levels of craftsmanship and
his experience in design and manufacturing acquired while working within the jewelry
industry, he was able to expand his business and to ultimately have his sons, William
and Dana join him in 1972 when he incorporated the business. Today, after forty
years of successful operation, William and Dana continue to provide quality pewter
gifts to the wholesale, specialty and retail markets worldwide. We manufacture all
of our products in the USA at our facility in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, birthplace
of the American Industrial Revolution and home of the historical Slater Mill.
The casting process itself has changed little since those early
colonial days. Starting with original designs, our sculptors and model makers create
production masters that are used in the mold making process. The purest pewter alloy
available is brought to a molten form and then hand poured into molds to create
a raw metal casting. Once cooled, each casting is then individually hand cleaned
to remove the excess alloy left by the casting process. Skilled craftsmen are required
for this exacting work to ensure that none of the fine detail that was painstakingly
put into the original master is removed. Each cleaned piece is then assembled, hand
finished, quality inspected, and packaged for a distinctive presentation.
It is with commitment and pride that William and
Dana continue to bring their products to the gift market. Our collection of gifts
include an extensive assortment of custom products as well as Limited Editions,
collectibles, seasonal favorites, ornaments, figurines, sculptures, and desktop gifts. We are sure you will cherish all of
the wonderful pieces obtained from our company as they are created as heirlooms;
assembled with pride and made to last for generations to come.. |
